Wong: we must commit to binding targets

STOP PRESS – 4.50pm Wednesday 27 January: The Australian Government has just announced the targets it has submitted to the UN of between 5 and 25%. Even the highly conditional 25% target will not avoid dangerous climate change.

Write to Climate Minister Penny Wong and ask her to urgently reconsider the target submitted. Demand that Australia commits to a binding ‎emissions reduction target of 40% below 1990 levels by 2020 so catastrophic climate change can be avoided‎.
